Requirementds to travel with minors
Traveling Minors:
We inform you about the new legislation in force regarding the transport of MINORS in Long-Distance Transportation, according to Resolution 2016 – 43 - SECRETARY OF TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT
They must ALWAYS travel accompanied by:
a) Father, mother, or one (1) legal representative,
b) or an authorized person.
AUTHORIZATION: granted by at least one (1) legal representative proving such representation through:
1) ID card showing the name of the legal representative,
2) Marriage certificate with the birth of the minor recorded,
3) Birth certificate,
4) Nationality certificate,
5) Passport,
6) Judicial adoption testimony or public instrument certifying the claimed relationship.
Additionally, documents of the minor and the authorizing legal representative must be provided.
Minors aged 13 to 17 years
They must ALWAYS travel accompanied by:
a) Father, mother, or one (1) legal representative
b) Without an accompanying person with authorization granted by at least one (1) legal representative proving the representation through:
1) ID card showing the name of the legal representative,
2) Marriage certificate with the birth of the minor recorded,
3) Birth certificate,
4) Nationality certificate,
5) Passport,
6) Judicial adoption testimony or public instrument certifying the claimed relationship,
Additionally, documents of the minor and the authorizing legal representative must be provided.
The AUTHORIZATION can be done by the authorizing person at the ticket offices of the company, or through a document signed before a public notary (Public Notary, whose signature must be legalized, or a competent Judge or Justice of Peace). In all cases, ALL documentation must be presented in ORIGINAL and in copies - WITHOUT EXCEPTION
